After graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh, Chris was accepted into General Electric’s Technical Marketing Program. That training and experience became the basis for numerous career successes. While working with electric motors, she became involved with one of the highest quality manufacturers of buffs and compounds, Charles L’Hommedieu & Sons in Chicago. That was her entry into the world of metal finishing, leading to her becoming the top technical advisor and salesperson nationwide for another major buff and compound manufacturer. In 2000, Chris decided to found a company based on world class customer service and the application of the BEST metal finishing products, tailored to customer need rather than catalog choices. The result is Best Finishing which has grown impressively because of satisfied loyal customers who have come to benefit from the resources of the company and the skills of its people. The Arizona Small Business Association and Governor Jan Brewer recognized Chris and Best Finishing in 2012 by bestowing the Master Success Award, the top award for all of Arizona small business. Chris is a graduate of the Harvard University Women’s Entrepreneurs program and the University of Chicago Leadership program. She is also a member of the National Association of Woman Owned Business (NAWBO) and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
